Thias and Ela around the world: Mexico 7-14.10.2011

Mexico! Our Tupolev plane (famous crash planes) landed safely -after 4 hours delay-in Cancun airport in Mexico! The immigration control was fast (another new stamp on our passport) and then we started to look for the bus station that we've never found finally! From the exit of terminal plenty of taxi drivers wanted to offer us their services. Finally we accepted an offer for the same price than bus and after 45min ride we arrived to our hotel in Play del Carmen. Was a cute small :) 14 rooms and swimming pool located right to the main pedestrian with all animities and restaurants. Our hotel provide the free internet access so we spent nearly an afternoon to update mails, facebook page, the blog. Food and drinks are fair price ( 2usd for a beer and a dish about 10usd ) The beach is nice and the water is milky-cause long time ago was here an ocean full of coral, so now on the beach is coral not sand. And will never be hot that u can step on it without burning your feet. We decided to go for a guided tour to Chichen Itza, Tulum and Coba ( all this 3 archeologic maya area are on pictures). Despite is a bit long way to reach Chichen Itza-around 3h. We really appreciated the history of this area and got opportunity to climb a pyramid in Coba. Our legs still remember as difficult was it to reach the top and to get down! Guides in Tulum and Coba were not really good but the surrounding was awesome. Victor, our guide to Chichen Itza, got this tour more enjoyable with lots of little stories, a good english level and a sympatic sense of humour! It was a hot long day but there were no sense to come to Mexico without visiting this areas. At the moment Mexico is our favourite place. We strongly of course recommend to visit Mexico !
