Cuba 29-07.10.2011

Cuba. My second time over here and Mat's first. We landed in Havana, but our hotel was in Varadero, so 2,5h in a taxi ( 25 pesos for 2 , and 1 Peso=1,3Euro) and we arrived to our destination. Our hotel wasn't so bad, but wasn't the best as well. They had nice entertainments but food a bit boring and not really lots choices - on European taste was too Caribbean. Both of us got some problems witch stomach - cause the water. No - we hadn't drink tap water, but their drinks was mixed somehow with it (could be ice, soups etc.). The sea is very nice, not so deep at beginning when u walk in. After around 30m average will hit your hips or not even :)))so good sea for me:) Mat was very funny during 'Olympic games' and won bottle of Rom!!! unfortunately we both don't like it too much (and travel with a bottle is quite difficult! ) so we left it in the hotel. After 5 days over there we took taxi back to La Havana and there got nice hotel Telgrapho close to the Capitol :) We spent 3 days for visiting such an old and full of history city. Both of us enjoy the stay . I could spent hours on watching the old cars, it so unusually. Cuba wasn't too expensive - our average of lunch-dinner was 15$ per two. One day we took a 'hop on hop off' bus for 5$ each, to see the Plaza de la Revolution and on the way other famous places. That was very good trip - we can recommend it. On all the country you can see influence of Russia from the past (socialism the best etc.) and China which is now the biggest investor.
