Saint Marteen 12-17 September

St Marteen is an island which belong on the north part to France and on the south part to Holland. We rented an amazing flat at Marigot in front of a private beach. The water is clear and really blue, as everyone imagine as should be the Caribbean Sea. There were a supermarket which offered a fairly expensive price but the most strange stuff is about cigarettes which should be taxed on the french way : It's actually the cheapest place for cigarettes I've ever seen ! The island has a strange form, that mean there are plenty of lagoons and bays. We spent a couple of hours for watching planes landing and take off at Princess Juliana International Airport which get the runway 20 meters right to the beach. It was an awesome experience. Otherwise, we enjoyed daily our private beach, relaxing on the sand and tasting somes beers on the balcony. Main issue : Mosquitos which loved beating Ela. It was our 2nd time in St Marteen ( 1st time was one step of our cruise last november), definitely different time and way of vacation. Fortunately we got a nice weather during the day and all rain and storm took place at night.We look forward to going back again and recommand to come to Saint Marteen for a very relaxing time.
